The Process Engineer plays a key role in maintaining the safe, efficient, and optimized operation of our plant facilities. This position involves providing expert technical support to production operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company procedures. The Process Engineer will work closely with various teams to enhance plant performance, minimize risks, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide process design and optimization support for production areas, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance safety, capacity, and/or cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct detailed engineering studies and assess new equipment to improve process performance and reliability.
- Contribute technical expertise during safety reviews and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) analyses.
- Offer technical input into the design, selection, and sizing of equipment to ensure process requirements are met.
- Investigate and develop tests aimed at optimizing process conditions and improving overall efficiency.
- Provide technical assistance during plant outages, catalyst regeneration, and catalyst changes.
- Provide out-of-hours call-out support as needed, ensuring continuous operational oversight.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
- 5-10 years of Process Engineering experience, with hands-on troubleshooting and process design in chemical plants.
- 8-10 years of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with process design packages, equipment sizing, and process control strategies.
- Strong knowledge of Process Hazards Analysis (PHA), HAZOPs, and safety reviews.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and other software tools.

The compensation for this position will typically range from $140,000 - $228,000/yr. The actually base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
