We are looking for a highly capable, driven, and detail-orientated Assembler to join our growing organization and become a key contributor to Koya’s future success. The Candidate will work independently and alongside others to fabricate, maintain and repair product. The ideal candidate will have exceptional skills in mechanical and electronics assembly, and an eye for detail. The ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, schematics, drawings, and other technical documents is a critical part of Assembly. The role requires detail assembly of material.

Responsibilities
- Work alone or with team of assemblers, technicians and engineers to conduct detail-oriented assembly of prototypes, as well as clinical, and commercial devices.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies together.
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Verify specifications by measuring and inspecting components at all stages of the assembly process.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs when needed.
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Use typical laboratory equipment including microscopes, calipers, soldering irons, and hand tools
- Identify defective items and handle according to established procedures.
- Perform incoming inspection of inventory and materials.
- Use reason and experience to solve problems as they arise.
- Analyze operations and offer suggestions for improvement.
- Keep a clean and organized workspace
- Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry
Requirements
- 1 years of manufacturing assembly experience working in a medical device or similar regulated environment (e.g. aeronautical)
- Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Skilled with mechanical and electrical assembly
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors.
- Demonstrable understanding of medical device GMP requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- High School Diploma, GED or higher education
- 3 solid references

$22 - $24 per hour
