Construction Estimator

Kozeny-Wagner, an established St. Louis regional construction company, is currently looking to hire a Commercial Construction Estimator to join its team of professionals. This person will be responsible for the preparation of conceptual and final estimates for our regional private and public clients through our award-winning design/build, general contracting and construction management project delivery methods.

Job Responsibilities

· Initiating and maintaining strong subcontractor and supplier relationships

· Read and interpret project plans and specifications

· Prepare project estimates including self-performed work and general requirements

· Develops and manages scopes of work for all trades

· Utilizes knowledge of the project schedule and logistics in preparing project estimates

· Assists with system analysis of building components and assists operations staff on project logistics, staging, phasing plans, and building coordination

· Collaborates with operations and field staff to develop more economical ways to construct projects during the preconstruction process

· Provides professional and comprehensive deliverables at the completion of estimate

· Understand timelines and applicable project deadlines

Qualifications

· Proven analytical, problem solving, organization and time management skills

· Ability to collaborate productively and professionally with multiple stakeholders

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task within strict time constraints

· Effective interactions with project stakeholders, subcontractors and vendors

· Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision

Experience and Education

· Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Related Field

· 5 years’ experience in the construction industry

· 5 years’ experience in the bidding of commercial construction projects

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
