Quality Assurance Specialist main purpose is to ensure that all aspects of KPA’s operation, including receiving, shipping, and inventory management, meets or exceeds regulatory and industry standards for safety and quality. This includes implementing and maintaining KPA’s quality assurance manual, conducting/leading audits, creating/supporting corrective actions, inspections, trainings, work instructions, policy and procedures, and continuously improving processes to enhance productivity, on-time delivery, reliability and quality in KPA’s operations and products. The ideal candidate will report quality metrics, trends, and activities to improve cost, quality, and performance. Implements a quality culture of root cause analysis and corrective action to prevent future escapes and continuously improve quality. Quality Assurance is essential for maintaining the highest standards of safety and overall QUALITY in the aviation industry.

This is an Entry Level position.
Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:
- Support planning, development, implementation and management of an effective Quality Assurance program using ASA-100 & FAA AC 00-56 principles including the management of the Quality Policy, Quality Manual, Quality objectives, site operating processes and procedures, and work instructions
- Monitor the effectiveness of the quality management system and suggest improvements
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inspection findings of internal surveillance audits
- Maintain audit records, lead audits and provide audit support
- Support and lead training as needed in all departments
- Create and review key performance indicators (KPI’s) to identify actions to improve current trends
- Lead/participate in corrective/preventive actions utilizing quality and tools and techniques to provide recommendations for continuous process improvement
- Primary quality contact for customers and certification audits
- Support and work with all departments to resolve quality issues
- Ensure essential Quality Management System policies and procedures are consistently implemented
- Maintain confidentiality with a high level of professionalism throughout all aspects and responsibilities
- Respond to phone calls, emails, task and zoom requests in a timely manner
- Provide accurate and timely information to customers, vendors and internal parties
- Support, develop and implement effective standard and consistent metrics across organization that will assist managers in providing quality products to customers
- Understand, interpret and easily communicate KPA’s quality policies and procedures
- Perform any other request or duties as assigned by the DOQ.
