Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Asphalt Paving Operator with a minimum of 5 years of hands - on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating paving equipment, ensuring proper placement, smoothness, and compaction of asphalt materials, and working closely with our crew to ensure the highest quality of work completed on time.
Duties
- Operate a variety of asphalt paving equipment, including but not limited to pavers, rollers, paver screed, skip loaders, skid steers and other heavy machinery.
- Ensure proper material placement, compaction, and smoothness of asphalt during paving projects.
- Maintain consistent quality control throughout the paving process.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure machines are in top working condition.
- Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to address any issues or adjustments during the paving process.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience operating asphalt paving equipment (such as pavers, rollers, and other related machinery)
- Strong understanding of asphalt paving procedures.
- Ability to operate paving machinery effectively and safely in a variety of weather conditions.
- Knowledge of proper paving materials, and quality control standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
