We are seeking experienced and dynamic nursing professionals to join our leadership team at various hospital locations. As a director, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our hospital by overseeing departmental functions, ensuring quality care, and fostering a positive and supportive environment for both patients and staff.

Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
Position Summary:
Nursing Directors are responsible for managing all nursing and patient care activities across their assigned departments and shifts. This position ensures the quality delivery of care, maintains operational efficiency, and supports the nursing staff in providing exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for facilitating patient flow, improving the patient and family experience, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all nursing staff across departments.
- Make regular rounds to monitor care delivery, quality services, and guide patient care activities.
- Directly communicate with, provide support, and supervise staff hospital-wide.
- Act as the hospital’s administrative leader in the absence of other administrative staff, with broad responsibility across all hospital services.
- Ensure efficient hospital operations and patient flow at all times.
- Provide direct patient care as needed, within your scope of practice and competence.
- Ensure the deployment and orientation of temporary agency personnel in accordance with hospital policies.
- Assist with medical staff scheduling for after-hour procedures and call-ins as necessary.
- Lead recruitment, training, and onboarding of new nursing staff.
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Demonstrate excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
- Provide leadership and foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of current nursing practices, methods, and tools.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges and support the team.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years clinical acute nursing experience with at least one year in charge nurse or supervisory roles. Knowledge of regulatory compliance is essential.

Licensure/Certifications:
- Current RN license in the State of California
- BLS, ACLS, and MAB certifications required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to meet physical and mental demands as identified in the physical activity evaluation form.
