JOB TITLE: Quality RN
REPORTS TO: Director QI/RM
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the Regional Director of QI/RM in the coordination of hospital-wide Risk Management and Regulatory Affairs. Under general supervision, plans, organizes, coordinates and assists in the assessment and evaluation of the risk management and regulatory program. Concurrently and retrospectively collects data, facilitates analysis of National Patient Safety Goals, review past incidences, claims and liability reports to identify risks, provide recommendations and solutions to immediate problems, and coordinates a comprehensive occurrence screen process. Possesses analytical and numerical skills with an eye for detail. Planning, organizational, communication, and presentation skills a must. Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills. Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience in acute care hospital required. Two years of experience with Performance Improvement/Risk Management processes and related regulatory tools such as the use of control charts, flow charts, storyboards, and team facilitation. Excellent written and oral communication skills; Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation agency requirements. Analytical skills and an eye for detail. Numerical skills. Planning and organizational skills. Communication and presentation skills. Bachelor’s degree in business or health care related field preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: RN license required.
