What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trauma Services PI Nurse FT- Days 8 hrs position at KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC.?
The Trauma PI Clinician is an advanced practice nurse who assists in the promotion of optimal trauma care and guidance for patients and their families before, during, and after hospitalization at Orange County Global Medical Center, Santa Ana. Responsibilities include: assisting in quality improvement, education, and administrative functions relating to the patient’s clinical progress. Utilizing and recognizing National Trauma Data Base quality indicators in application of the trauma patient’s hospital stay. Reporting these quality indicators to the Attending Trauma Surgeon in order to provide the best care for the trauma patient in real time. Other duties may include but are not limited to: involvement in outreach programs and in-house clinical staff education related to the care of trauma patients. The PI Nurse gathers data in that is reportable to Trauma Quality Improvement Program deemed by the American College of Surgeons. The PI Clinician will be involved in daily rounding with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager; when available, the Trauma Nurse Practitioner.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current CA RN license
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS
- TNCC or ATCN
- CEN, CCRN, or TCRN (preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years of ICU/ED/Trauma experience
