Biller/Collector - Hemet, CA

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the supervisor, the employee will be responsible for processing all secondary hard copy billing and follow up of all inpatient and

outpatient Medi-Medi hospital claims..

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Responsible for timely and accurate billings
• Follows up on all accounts from billing to zero balance
• Maintains all logs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Adjudicates all Help letters asking for additional information.
• Monitors reports to ensure that all claims transmit on a daily basis.
• Manually bills claims that are rejected in electronic transmissions on a daily basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements :

1. Body Positions : Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.

2. Body Movements : Arm and hand dexterity.

3. Body Senses : Must have command of close and distant sight, color perception and hearing.

4. Strength : Ability to lift and move up to 25-pounds.
