Position Overview:
A direct client of ours is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to lead incident response efforts, manage vulnerability assessments, and enhance security awareness training. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in Proofpoint and other security tools. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and continuously improve cybersecurity policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead incident response efforts to identify, investigate, and mitigate security threats.
- Manage vulnerability assessments and oversee remediation efforts to strengthen security posture.
- Conduct security awareness training, including new hire orientation and quarterly phishing tests using Proofpoint.
- Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business teams to implement security best practices.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve cybersecurity policies to ensure ongoing protection against evolving threats.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, specializing in incident response, vulnerability management, and security education.
- Hands-on experience with Proofpoint and other security tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent communication skills to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
