Lead Digital SEO Analyst
Onsite Monday through Thursday at San Francisco, CA (WFH on Fridays)

Project Description
As the Enterprise SEO Manager, you will drive the successful execution of critical on-site optimization initiatives while laying the groundwork for a long-term strategic vision. In the initial phase, your focus will be on implementing effective SEO practices to optimize technical performance, improve user experience, and derive actionable insights from analytics. As these foundational elements are established, you will balance these with a strategic approach to guide long-term SEO direction and global growth.
Duties / Day to Day Overview
On-Site Optimization : Conduct keyword research and mapping strategies to ensure alignment with content goals and user intent. Oversee the optimization of metadata, internal linking, and content structures to maximize visibility and engagement. Collaborate with content creators and brand teams to integrate SEO seamlessly into the customer journey and enhance user experience.
Site Audit Follow-Ups : Lead technical and content-related follow-ups after comprehensive site audits. Address issues related to crawlability, indexation, page speed, and mobile optimization by coordinating closely with web developers and product teams.
Analytics & Data-Driven Insights : Utilize tools such as Google Search Console and Adobe Analytics to extract actionable insights. Monitor KPIs including organic traffic, rankings, CTR, and conversion rates, delivering comprehensive reports to showcase performance and identify areas of improvement.
Strategic Responsibilities
Strategic SEO Leadership : Gradually shift focus to developing a comprehensive global SEO strategy. Coordinate efforts across 20 websites, ensuring consistent application of best practices while tailoring approaches to regional market nuances. Communicate SEO’s business impact to stakeholders and align initiatives with broader organizational goals.
AI-Driven SEO Optimization : Integrate AI tools into the SEO process to streamline workflows and boost productivity. Leverage AI for advanced keyword analysis, competitive research, and content optimization to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Reporting – influences direction of technical aspect of reports
Develops strategy and takes ownership of technical solutions, including owning and influencing the technical roadmap
Sets prioritization for domain areas
Looks at ways to automate and standardize (such as reporting, campaign, domain, etc.) to scale and bring more value / impact
Works across multiple brands
Owns domain discussion with stakeholders and connects the dots with other programs and in-flight initiatives
Manages vendors
Develops best practices
Leads development of new functionality, enhancements, and campaign optimization
Top Requirements (Must haves)
4 years’ experience with SEO and working in an eCommerce environment.
SEO experience within an international web business, driving projects from idea to implementation.
Deep knowledge of SEO, and advanced familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and other front-end web programming languages.
Strong familiarity with third-party keyword research and SEO tools, such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Moz, Majestic, Google Analytics and more.
Advanced user of domain specific tools
Strong business acumen with Retail industry knowledge
Experience guiding agencies / vendors work
1-2 years of experience as a team or peer lead coaching and mentoring junior members desired
Experience working with Confluence, Jira, technical audits, and issue resolution.
Additional Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the experience to deliver non-technical presentations to business partners at Executive level
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple work requests, projects, and initiatives
Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach, and proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets reports.
Ability to work cross functionally – start and FINISH projects. Strong collaboration with international teams.
