Job Title : SQL DBA
Location : 100% Onsite - 8735 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95826. Potential to go remote at 6-12 month mark
Duration : 12 mos w / possible extensions – long term opportunity and potential to apply for FTE opportunity
Interview : Phone and Video
Required Skills :
4 years as SQL DBA : experience with T-SQL, performance tuning, query optimization
T-SQL : writing queries from scratch and rewriting queries to improve efficiencies
Bonus Skills :
Developing report in SSRS or Power BI from scratch
Responsibilities :
Will work closely with Supervising IT Analyst on team, will not need to interact with end users or customers.
Ensure SQL servers are running good, scheduled jobs are being executed, performance tuning, manage indexing. Will be reviewing queries on their SQL deployments, performance tuning from there. If cannot develop SSRS or Power Bi reports from scratch will be writing queries for report writers.
Will be configuring backend data set and sources to T-SQL.
Main project : sustaining and optimizing environment and ensure that there is adequate indexing, monitor logs. Once Sacramento Superior Courts has their databases ready, will be connecting Probation Dept. databases to Courts, Sheriffs Dept, and other County agencies.
30 days : learning physical server environment for development, UAT, staging, and production environments
60 days : learning what’s running in each environment, analyzing scheduled jobs, stored procedur4es, and optimizing that code
90 days : learning what content is in each environment listed above, learning complex data tables
