- Develop, implement, and validate models for descriptive and predictive analytics, leveraging time series data to evaluate and forecast equipment failures and downtime.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Data Engineers to gather requirements, prepare data, and build digital solutions that improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
- Design and deploy algorithms and analytics features using Python, SQL, and PySpark (preferred) to advance data processing and insights generation.
- Create and manage dashboards and visualizations in Power BI, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders and enabling data-informed decision-making.
- Collect, process, and refine data from telematics systems and controllers, ensuring its suitability for training models and solution development.
- Perform in-depth analysis and modeling of time series data to generate insights that support predictive maintenance and enhance product functionality.
- Effectively present insights, address challenges, and propose solutions to global teams, stakeholders, and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data science, with a background in embedded controls engineering strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with PySpark is preferred for big data processing.
- Solid understanding of time series data analysis and predictive modeling.
- Strong experience in Power BI for data visualization.
- Experience with real-time telemetry data acquisition from a network of distributed Modbus controllers is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical insights to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a global team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude and attention to detail.
- Experience working in Mining, Power Generation, or related heavy equipment industries.
- Familiarity with data engineering and pipeline development is a plus.
- Experience with global teams and the ability to navigate cross-cultural interactions.
