Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of controls software for Mechatronic systems from concept to production, using tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
- Design and develop physics-based models, sensor characterization, diagnostics, and robust controls.
- Develop vehicle dynamics algorithms for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and Electric Vehicles (EVs), including safety preconditions.
- Establish learning routines for Production End-of-Line optimization.
- Hands-on experience in software validation through unit testing, Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) testing, bench testing, and in-vehicle testing to ensure system reliability.
- Create tools for testing and data processing, including ECU/dyno integration for durability testing, end-of-line validation, CAN validation, and data visualization.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and validation reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of control systems.
- Bachelors or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university with 3 Years Automotive Experience
- Specialization in classical and modern control disciplines with vehicle application
- Embedded software experience
- Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
- Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETAS-INCA
- Demonstrated technical problem solving
- Strong overall knowledge of vehicle and powertrain functions
- Experience with modeling, simulation, development, testing, calibration and/or validation
- Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills
