Job Description
KPM Franklin is a rapidly growing civil engineering and land surveying firm seeking a full-time survey CAD tech for our Kissimmee office. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and experienced in processing field data with precision and efficiency. Experience with Trimble Business Center, Riegl LiDAR equipment, and software is a plus. FDOT prequalification in categories 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, and 8.4 is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
- Process field data and ensure accurate survey deliverables.
- Perform deed and utility research.
- Run traverse closures and reduce level notes.
- Finalize survey drawings with attention to detail.
- Read and interpret survey maps, construction plans, and utility plans.
- Prepare sketches and legal descriptions.
- Process and map field data for various survey types, including:
- Boundary Surveys
- Topographic Surveys
- Control Surveys
- Construction Layout & Staking
- ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
- Plats
- Maintain high-level accuracy in accordance with Chapter 5J-17, Florida Administrative Code Standards of Practice.
Education, Experience and Software Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required).
- Experience with Trimble Business Center, Riegl LiDAR equipment/software (preferred).
Desired Skills and Experience, but not required
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in land surveying or related field
- Professional surveyor and mapper (PSM) Florida license
- NSPS certified survey technician (CST) certification
- MicroStation OpenRoads software experience
- FDOT Work Group 8 surveying and mapping standards and procedures experience
- LiDAR processing and/or extraction software experience

- Good math skills related to surveying
