KPMG is currently seeking an Associate, Security Governance, Risk & Compliance to join our Enterprise Security Services organization. This is a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Enterprise Security Services (ESS) Risk Governance team by carrying out day-to-day operational tasks utilizing specialized applications, tools, and platforms; perform cross-functional activities such as issue management, remediation plan creation, remediation plan tracking, development of custom reports and slide decks, as well as process improvement; create and maintain system documentation for best practice guides and standard operating procedures
- Coordinate, track, and report on issue/risk remediation efforts; interact with issue owners and members of the (ESS) Risk Governance team to help ensure the information flow is efficient
- Create and maintain graphs, metrics, and dashboards to facilitate issue reporting
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices related to security and risk
- Manage small projects, ensuring tasks are assigned, deadlines are met, and resources are allocated effectively; track project milestones, facilitate communication and maintain project documentation
- Develop and enhance tools, guidelines, and playbooks supporting operational processes including, controls testing, controls self-assessments, remediation plans, and issue reporting
- Minimum one year of recent experience in information technology (IT) audit, internal audit, audit support, risk management, issue management, or security support; preferably within a large professional services environment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Profound organizational skills with keen attention to detail and documentation; ability to multi-task and seek assistance from supervisors, while prioritizing work to meet deadlines
- Ability to learn new tools and platforms to assist in advancing the firm's security posture
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, organizational and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; ability to build productive relationships with peers
- Work location may be in the office, or virtual/remote depending on business need; must be located within the U.S. when working remotely
