KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Lakehouse Safety & Physical Security Operations to join our Enterprise Security Services organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight for the development and implementation of a comprehensive security program for KPMG Lakehouse operations to include physical security controls, management of electronic surveillance, as well as security systems and management of the uniformed security force; self-initiate courses of action necessary to maintain the multiyear site security action plan inclusive of timely mitigation plans
- Maintain an active view of the landscape conducting ongoing risk assessment and threat analysis with subsequent defined courses of action based on firm criticality; development and implementation of physical security policies and procedures including the development and delivery of a security awareness and ongoing training program for site personnel and visitors
- Oversee the management and continuous improvement of the comprehensive safety program for the campus, to include fire prevention reviews, hazard and safety self-assessments, management of localized life safety related technology (for example, Automated External Defibrillators and fire extinguishers) pursuant to unique site requirements; monitor actively security and fire/life safety operational risks, and trends to identify risks, threats, and vulnerabilities advising other relevant leadership with reliable, timely, as well as complete information to mitigate and minimize incident
- Manage liaison relationship with appropriate emergency response organizations, for example law enforcement, fire department, medical response, and more; deliver risk appropriate briefings in verbal and written form or advisories to firm leadership and visitors based on analysis of open-source security life safety experience
- Serve on the site incident management team to create and maintain a preparedness strategy to combat potential threats and security concerns; at the direction of Firm Security, provide key employee and/or event security services as assigned; serve possibly as the lead point of contact delegate for site executive leadership in the preparation and response activities for the campus
- Supply key employee and/or event security services to the firm as assigned at the direction of Firm Security leadership
- Minimum twelve years of recent experience in public or private sector security, law enforcement, intelligence, or other related organization required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Experience as senior law enforcement or senior security management in a campus setting required; candidates with regional based experience to the campus preferred
- Specialized training in security management, hotel and hospitality services, fire safety and crisis management; domain specific certifications preferred (for example, Certified Protection Professional or other)
- Experience in developing, implementing, and managing corporate security programs is required
- Ability to establish credibility as a business partner with all levels within a matrix organization; strategic thinker capable of handling multiple, concurrent situations and investigations; excellent public speaking, presentation, and overall communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
