KPMG is currently seeking a Market Data Service, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Director to join our CFO function.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of three within MDS to develop, execute, and lead category management strategies for third-party data products and services, such as company/news/sector/market/alternative business intelligence & respective data feeds, legal/regulatory research, guides and standards, professional journals and publications, and subscriptions
- Creative commercial model development beyond traditional data licensing to drive KPMG's evolving GenAI-infused, cross-functional GTM, and service delivery models
- Manage and support cross-functional teams through the sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and vendor management processes
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk mitigation departments to ensure adherence to policies and contractual terms
- Regularly monitor the third-party data market for category leading practices and demand/supply shifts such as new entrants, supply consolidation, technology innovations, and more
- Monitor, refine, and report on third-party spend, negotiated savings, and contracting cycle times and related operational KPIs
- Minimum twelve years of recent experience in the third-party data space, either within such strategic sourcing category or in business research and/or data analytics roles where duties included sourcing, structuring and funding third-party data contracts, demonstrating success in positions of increasing complexity
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required; Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; CRBPM or CTPRP certifications are preferred
- Deep knowledge of standard third-party data providers, their products, and commercial models
- Demonstrated ability to deliver business impact in a complex corporate environment, with strong skills in influencing change and engaging stakeholders effectively
- Technology-savvy with advanced skills in MS Office, BI analytics, workflow and P2P software
