Lead Engineer I, Events Monitoring

KPMG is currently seeking an Event Management Lead Engineer I to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain event management platform; develop and maintain processes and scripts to manage and automate workflows related to event management
• Integrate other monitoring tools and IT systems to ensure seamless data ingestion and notification
• Conduct/participate in proof of concepts (PoCs) to evaluate new monitoring tools, event management, and workflow/automation platforms
• Collaborate with operations support teams and NOC to enhance monitoring, alerting, and visualization capabilities
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in event management and automation
• Create and maintain documentation for event management processes, scripts, and integrations; identify areas of improvement in existing event management processes and implement solutions
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of recent experience with and strong understanding of event management and related concepts including correlation, enrichment, and root cause analysis. Amin level experience with BigPanda, Moogsoft or Netcool
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred
• Proven experience in event monitoring, system administration, or a similar role; strong scripting skills (for example: Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript); experience with event management tools (for example: BigPanda, Moogsoft, Netcool)
• Practical experience with system integration and data flow management; knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) concept and practices; proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong communication and collaboration abilities; capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
