KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Assistance Facility Security Officer, Federal Security to join our Enterprise Security Services organization.
Responsibilities:
- Apply a thorough understanding of Federal security to manage and coordinate the internal aspects of the firm's Federal Security program, such as self-inspection requirements, clearance processing, facility security topics, and engaging with client security programs
- Serve as Assistant Facility Security Officer, with the ability to work with as well as maintain programs within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC)
- Ensure KPMG's compliance with United States government security policies and procedures as well as effectively apply the 32 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)
- Initiate, process, and maintain clearances through National Background Investigation Services (NBIS)/ Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Scattered Castles and other special access programs; provide proposal support, as needed to include writing and editing Security Volumes and security requirements for Intelligence agency proposal responses
- Participate in security compliance activities to ensure compliance with related government contract security requirements; assist in maintaining policies and procedures for the handling/transmission of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI); ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards in federal security; collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the proper handling of CUI throughout the organization; stay abreast on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices related to Federal security topics
- Oversee work products and lead entire small projects, managing deadlines, expectations, and often contributing to staffing decisions and supervising the work performed by more junior staff; provide coaching, mentoring and feedback to such individuals and will also serve as a formal performance manager of a team of junior employees
- Minimum five years of recent experience managing Federal Security programs
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; Facility Security Officer (FSO) Program Management for Possessing Facilities certification obtained the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) required or the ability to obtain one within six months of start date
- Top Secret security clearance and/or the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) is required
- Understanding of security principles, IT security controls and related technologies and products
- Ability to create and deliver executive level presentations
- Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; ability to positively influence, mentor and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members
