Responsibilities:
- Lead the validation of systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber tactics, techniques, as well as procedures focused on the threat to information networks; assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
- Evaluate and supervise the implementation of security mitigation techniques to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's information, infrastructure and applications in accordance with Zero Trust principles
- Prepare and oversee comprehensive cyber and privacy assessments; evaluate performance, assist in development of plans for improvement
- Assist in facilitating the integration of information technology (IT) operations during organizational changes such as mergers or separations, ensuring a seamless transition while maintaining security standards
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to end-to-end systems and processes throughout their lifecycle Oversee implementation initiatives and ensure continuous improvement and compliance
- Provide oversight and mentorship to team members
- Minimum five years of recent experience in the industry of technology/security consulting firm or an IT security industry experience serving as an IT Security Analysist (ITSA), Security Architect/Engineer, Cybersecurity technician, Cloud Security Specialist, Information Security Specialists or Data security Analyst
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field; relevant certifications are highly preferred, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP), Payment Card Industry (PCI) Professional or Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/EU) preferred
- Solid understanding of information security, specific experience IT security frameworks, regulations and laws as it relates to International Organization for Standardization (ISO 27001), European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH), NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), and (Payment Application Data Security Standard (PCI PA-DSS)
- In-depth understanding of leading practices in Cloud Security, specifically focused on Google and Microsoft; preferred certifications in Cloud Security architecture (such as SC-100, SC-500)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed research and analysis to support security assessments and improvements; outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences, including senior management
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results
- Willingness and ability to travel
