Responsibilities: Participate in advisory engagements for clients in the Life Insurance and Reinsurance industries. Assist in Merger and Acquisition-related engagements, including valuation, due diligence, and actuarial value calculations. Construct probability tables to forecast risk and liability for payment of future benefits from large data sets using database applications. Develop business actuarial and in-force models for life, health, and disability products.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
Up to 50% travel to various domestic locations per business need.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a master's degree plus two (2) years of experience. Two (2) years of experience must include: Calculating life insurance, annuity products, and health insurance actuarially-determined reserves; Actuarial model validation; Cash flow testing; Asset adequacy testing; Moody's Analytics AXIS actuarial software; VBA; SQL; and R.
