Responsibilities:
- Play a supportive role in the design and management of employee benefit plans to a complex client base; plan analysis, design, cost mitigation, vendor procurement, benchmarking and other related requests included in projects
- Serve as project manager and day to day contact for clients, coordinating work with staff in other KPMG US offices and practices
- Maintain client relationships, technical depth, and breadth in your areas of proficiency; take a lead role in the ongoing development and career growth of junior team members
- Manage risk and financial performance of engagement by supporting management with compliance, billing, collections, and budgeting
- Identify, build, and deepen client relationships; present technical recommendations to clients and prospective clients; participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm
- Play a lead role in the design and management of employee benefit plans to a complex client base; plan analysis, design, cost mitigation, vendor procurement, benchmarking and other related requests included in projects
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in employer benefit strategies
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM or completion of one of the advanced degrees or professional designations: MBA, ASOA, ENR ACT,FSA, CBP, CCP, CEBS, CPP or GPHR, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
- Experience leading multiple large client engagements and service teams, prioritizing multiple projects, working on numerous assignments, and managing multiple assignments
- Deep industry knowledge across benefits, regions, industries, carriers and more; consulting firm experience, mental health parity, global benefits, human resources credentials and benefits administration technology are a plus
- Strong analytical, consultative, and project management skills; ability to review quantitative work and development junior staff; excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to articulate complex information
- Able to work at client sites and travel up to 15%
