KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Develop cloud platforms and applications utilizing infrastructure as a code methodologies to solve real world problems ensuring quality / compliance following best practices
- Work in cross-disciplinary teams with KPMG industry professionals to understand client needs and develop holistic operational solutions / applications
- Support cloud infrastructure and DevOps capabilities
- Research, experiment, utilize leading cloud methodologies / new tools for increased productivity, security, reliability, performance; provide proficient documentation and operating guidance for users of all levels
- Progress tools and services useful in cloud DevOps environments such as performance monitoring, security monitoring, deployment, configuration, integration, and cloud resource creation scripts
- Support processes for pursuing innovations, target solutions, and extendable platforms for firm technology services
- A minimum of three years of technical cloud engineering experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience in designing cloud architectures and implementing production infrastructures / applications in one or more of the following cloud environments / technologies: Azure, AWS, GCP using infrastructure as a code approach
- Experience with cloud native container technologies such as: Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet is preferred
- Strong understanding of networking, identify management, monitoring, logging, vulnerability management, and concepts; depth of understanding with security concepts, protocols, and configuration (authentication, authorization, encryption, PKI)
- Knowledge of IT operating models / processes and experience hardening infrastructures / systems
- Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
- Applicant must possess or be eligible for U.S. Government clearance
