Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and transportation of goods within our distribution center. This role is critical in maintaining the flow of materials and ensuring that all operations run smoothly.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and cranes, to move products safely throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments with precision, ensuring that all items are handled according to safety protocols.
- Utilize RF scanners for inventory management, tracking the movement of goods in real-time.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production goals.
Skills
- Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and cranes within a warehouse setting.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory management is a plus.
- Strong understanding of materials handling principles and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
