Key Responsibilities
- Create Compelling Content: Write, produce, direct, and edit eye-catching promotional creative, including topical story promotions, proof-of-performance spots, and full-scale marketing campaigns. Projects will span digital platforms, on-air, web, and social media, ensuring alignment with KPRC 2 brand pillars.
- Advocate for Our Audience: Bring fresh ideas and insights to meetings, championing strategies that resonate with our target demographics and improve news and marketing initiatives.
- Meet Deadlines: Work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, delivering high-quality projects on time.
- Plan Productions: Develop creative briefs, storyboards, and production schedules to ensure smooth execution of shoots and campaigns.
- Streamline Workflows: Proactively identify and implement ideas to improve department workflows and efficiency.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Provide production support and exceptional customer service to internal teams, maintaining strong working relationships
- Flexibility: When required, be available for extra hours, including nights and weekends. Occasionally attend and contribute to off-site station events.
- Contribute to Additional Projects: Take on other assignments to support the stations marketing objectives.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a mid-to-large television DMA is strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelors degree in marketing, TV production, or communications is preferred.
- Detail-oriented: Handling projects with minimal direction while maintaining a sharp eye for detail.
- Calm Under Pressure: Capable of multitasking in high-pressure, fast-paced environments while confidently meeting deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Strong command of spelling and grammar, both written and oral, and excellent interpersonal and collaborative communication skills are essential.
- Adaptability: Open to constructive feedback and can pivot and adjust plans as needed.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Technical Expertise:
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Proficiency in creating motion graphics and text treatments in Adobe After Effects.
- Experience with videography, lighting, and audio production is a major advantage.
- Knowledge of Arc Publishing, Social Newsdesk, Google Ad Manager, BlueConic, iNEWS, and WideOrbit is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of PC operating systems and expertise in tape-less workflows, file-based video codecs, and media management.
