These productions would potentially include programs within the Digital Video department as well as projects for other KQED Content departments including Podcast and News. All productions will run through the Digital Video department and will be overseen by Digital Video management staff.Knowledge / Experience Required : Minimum of two years’ experience as Producer or Field Producer in media, preferably public media or through other informal institutions.Ability to independently (shoot, write, edit) and collaboratively work with KQED DV teamsProven ability to edit, with limited supervision, short format documentary style segmentsExperience troubleshooting edit issues, transcoding media, performing minor color correcting, and media wrangling and archivingProven ability to set up, light, record audio and shoot video for short format style segments in quick turnaround situationsExperience with a wide range of cameras, lenses and related equipmentExperience with social media and web distributionKnowledge of basic journalistic editorial principles, ethics and standardsA passion for the arts scene and demonstrable experience covering the Bay AreaDemonstrable collaboration skills and experience cultivating sources and partnershipsAbility to represent KQED to the community, other institutions, and the general publicKnowledge / Experience Desired A compelling visual style and personal voiceExperience with a variety of video camerasAdvanced motion graphic skillsExpertise in filmmakingB.A. / B.S. degree#J-18808-Ljbffr
