We are looking to hire an energetic project technician to our team. The project technician will be responsible for the maintenance of all floor areas, and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. We are looking for a project technician that can work independently and who has the strength and stamina to carry and operate heavy cleaning equipment You will operate auto scrubbers, floor machines, carpet extractors, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums, and you will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.

- Physical stamina – project technicians spend most of their workday on their feet, operating cleaning equipment and listing supplies, so good physical strength and stamina is a must
- Mechanical skills – this job involves using floor cleaning equipment and tools, so applicants must be savvy with mechanical equipment and know how to fix a breakdown if one occurs
Project Technician Responsibilities:
- Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other areas.
- Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
- Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, and finishing floors.
- Measuring chemicals correctly.
- Operating chemical dispensing units.
- Labeling chemicals correctly.
- Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
- Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.
- Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by the supervisor.
Project Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred.
- Floor & carpet maintenance experience preferred.
- Completion of drug test.
- Completion of on-the-job training.
- Undeterred by exposure to hazardous chemicals, bodily fluids, and communicable and infectious diseases.
- Resilient to noise.
- Physically agile.
- Excellent communication skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
