About the Position:
Senior Manager of Logistics
The qualified individual will be responsible for managing all global inbound and outbound transportation networks of Kraft Chemical Company. The primary responsibilities include inbound and outbound transportation networks (Domestic and International), reverse logistics, and logistics cost management. This position will work closely with warehousing, procurement, and customer service with an emphasis on quality and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies to support business goals, ensuring efficient supply chain operations and cost optimization.
· Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution networks to ensure timely delivery of chemical products.
· Truck Fleet: Mange the routing and maintenance of the company owned truck fleet.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including hazardous materials transportation (DOT, OSHA, EPA, etc.) and international shipping regulations.
· Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with transportation providers, warehouse operators, and third-party logistics partners to achieve operational excellence.
· Safety & Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee best practices in chemical handling, storage, and transportation to maintain high safety and quality standards.
· Budget Management: Develop and control logistics budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining service level agreements.
· Technology Implementation: Leverage logistics and supply chain technologies (TMS, WMS, ERP) to improve visibility, tracking, and efficiency.
· Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor logistics performance, drive continuous improvement, and report on key operational outcomes.
· Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.
Preferred Certifications:
· Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
· Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within the chemical distribution or related industry.
· Strong knowledge of hazardous materials transportation regulations and industry best practices.
· Proven track record in managing complex logistics operations, including multi-modal transportation.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS, WMS).
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Working Conditions:

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
