Description & Requirements

Under direction of the supervisor- this person would perform various miscellaneous job tasks within the department. In

cooperation with the line crew- this position supports departmental production operations. This includes responsibility and

authority to achieve cost- quality- safety- morale and service objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties including those not specifically related to the filler operator may be assigned.

Under the direction of the supervisor- operates filling machine- capper and jar cleaner.

  • Use and respond to all machine controls and understand various machine modes. Identify locations of all machine sensors

and describe their functions and the machine's reaction when the sensor is activated or deactivated.

  • Detect when adjustments are required based on machine observations and performance ( for example: torque adjustments)-

responding to machine faults promptly and correctly for maximum machine up time. Effectively communicate electrical and

mechanical problems. Detect supply problems and machine problems and properly respond.

  • Ability to complete analytical testing of product including but not limited to: salt- acid- pH- nitrogen and viscosity.
  • Operate in a safe- efficient manner- watching closely to prevent smash-ups- jams- and capless bottles.
  • Monitor weights- fill levels- and torques and ensure that they are within specifications before sending to the labeler operator.
  • Communicate with other line personnel in the event of schedule changes and line changeovers. Perform changeovers on

filler and capper and troubleshoot any issues.

  • Document information according to Kraft procedures.
  • Responsible for own safety and the safety of others in the work area; Must adhere to all safety precautions. Responsible to

keep work area in a clean and orderly fashion and adhere to all GMP'S.

  • This person has the responsibility to operate under Kraft Heinz Safety Values.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies- procedures and compliance programs.
  • Work toward achieving an injury free environment.
  • When sanitation is required- this person will be responsible for the correct and effective cleaning of the equipment. Must

follow all Kraft sanitation procedures.

  • Responsible for compliance with the safety policy and accident prevention and compliance programs.
  • Responsible for reviewing work areas for potential losses and loss control opportunities and for reporting hazards-

injuries/illnesses- and other losses to supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules- operating and maintenance instructions- and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of

organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add- subtract- multiply- and divide in all units of measure- using whole numbers- common fractions- and decimals. Ability to compute rate- ratio- and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written- oral- or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL
