What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Spotter/Hostler position at Kraft Tank Corporation?
The Yard Spotter/Hostler is responsible for driving a spotter truck to move, position and park up to a 60’ trailer within the yard, service bays and designated spots. This role includes the day-to-day responsibility of conducting yard checks at the location, checking in/out trailers, and performing operations related to servicing the equipment for requested promotional packages that include mud flap installation and taking promo photos.
Position Responsibilities
- Work with customers to check in/out trailers.
- Safely and efficiently move trailers to different areas within the yard location.
- Communicate with Sales, Leasing, and Service to ensure proper placement of trailers.
- Ability to back up trailers into service bays.
- Perform daily yard check using system programs.
- Complete promotional packages on trailers, including taking promo photos.
- Use of other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, manual jacks, and forklifts to assist loading/unloading materials.
- Provide exceptional service by maintaining attention to detail and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ensure cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of all the location’s yard and service bays.
- All other duties and responsibilities as directed and required.
