Job Description
Kramer & Frank P.C. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Collection Administrator. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient recovery of outstanding debts while maintaining professionalism and compliance with industry regulations.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Collection Administrator is responsible for contacting individuals, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate records of all communications.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contact consumers via phone, email, and written correspondence to negotiate and secure payment arrangements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection efforts in the system.
- Research and locate debtors using skip-tracing tools and other investigative methods.
- Follow federal and state collection laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
- Provide excellent customer service while handling financial negotiations.
- Collaborate with attorneys and other departments to escalate cases when necessary.
- Process payments, set up recurring payment plans, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls efficiently to maximize recovery efforts.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required.
SCOPE OF INTERACTION:
Interacts with internal office personnel, attorneys, court clerks, external attorneys, and consumers.
EDUCATION, PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE, & SPECIALIZED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in collections, customer service, or a related field preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn industry-specific software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
