At Kraton, we make a Positive Difference, and we are looking for individuals who are also looking to make a difference in their jobs, for our customers and to the world. We are looking to hire a current student for a coop rotation for Summer 2025 at our Savannah, GA location.

Key Responsibilities

The Operations Co-op position exists as a developmental support position for our manufacturing operations teams. The position will be involved in day-to-day process engineering support activities and also be responsible for completing 1-2 larger, long-term projects which will be defined at the beginning of the co-op rotation. Co-ops will be targeted at the sophomore and junior levels and will complete 2-3 rotations within the Company's manufacturing operations and may be assigned to manufacturing plants located in Panama City, Florida; Pensacola, Florida; Savannah, Georgia, Belpre, Ohio and Dover, Ohio.

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following :

  • Define and complete 1-2 large projects within the rotation period.
  • Gain knowledge of the Company's operations and provide technical support as needed.
  • Participate in plant management and departmental team meetings.
  • Create and deliver end of semester presentation / report to senior management and executive leadership.

  • Experience performing work in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of manufacturing operations processes, procedures, and equipment.
  • Must evidence effective business communication skills, (oral, written, instructional, and presentation).
  • Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing process / operation.
  • Able to work off hours if needed / necessary.
  • Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • Students seeking Bachelor's degree in Polymer or Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemistry.
  • A current undergraduate or graduate-level student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Polymer or Chemical Engineering or related technical field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
