Kratos is seeking a highly experienced Naval Warfare Training Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading shipboard combat information center (CIC) teams, planning multi-domain / joint operational exercises or training evolutions, and leveraging advanced training systems and concepts to achieve specific training goals. This role is critical in designing, developing, implementing, and delivering training programs that prepare global naval personnel for modern complex operational environments.
Training Development & Implementation
Design, develop, test, and validate comprehensive naval warfare training systems and courses.
Integrate multi-warfare disciplines into cohesive training modules, including surface, subsurface, air, and electronic warfare.
Develop realistic scenarios that reflect current threats and operational challenges.
Utilize advanced simulation technologies to enhance training effectiveness.
Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and after-action reviews.
Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to training curricula.
Ensure compliance with military standards and best practices.
Simulation Environment Management
Install and test simulator components for customer delivery.
Manage technicians accomplishing simulator installation and / or upgrades.
Subject Matter Expertise
Lead multi-disciplinary teams while providing mentorship and guidance based on current naval warfare best practices.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of training objectives with operational goals.
Provide critical support for business development initiatives.
Engage with customers to understand their training needs and maintain strong relationships.
Effectively work as part of a team or independently when needed.
Provide expert advice on naval warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Stay current with the latest developments in naval warfare, including emerging threats and technological advancements.
Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Required Experience :
Minimum of 10 years of active-duty experience in naval warfare operations and instruction.
Experience leading shipboard CIC teams as an operations specialist is preferred.
Experience in planning and executing multi-warfare or joint exercises.
Familiarity with naval training systems and simulation technologies.
Knowledge of international naval warfare doctrines and coalition operations.
Deep understanding of naval combat systems, including weapons, sensors, and communication systems.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in using training development software and tools.
Understand Basic Computer Networking.
Work and Learn Software Operations - and versed in proprietary software.
Understand maintenance management.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Relevant military certifications in naval warfare operations and training.
Instructional design or training development certifications are a plus
Must possess an active SECRETsecurity clearance or be eligible to obtain one
