What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly, Integration, and Test Director position at Kratos Defense?
The Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) Director will be responsible for managing the AI&T of hypersonic test vehicles and sub-assemblies throughout various phases of the design and development. This position will oversee all pre-flight ground testing, design, and the facility/labs that they take place. This includes but is not limited to hardware in-the-loop, electrical harnessing, air-bearing, environments testing, hardware development, inventory management, quality assurance, and logistics.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate the inputs of various team members to identify and call attention to potential conflicts in availability, readiness, and configurations.
- Brief updates and status on assigned activities, organize and facilitate incremental reviews, adjudicate and reconcile technical and operational issues, schedule and oversee regular coordination meetings, and actively manage the completion of delegated tasks.
- Lead test planning, design, and verification of multiple on-going launch campaigns for ground and air launched vehicles and payloads to ensure their launch worthiness.
- Provide oversight and mentoring to the program’s technical teams, analysts, and other AI&T personnel.
- Define and manage risks in terms of resources, personnel, and schedule across all missions and campaigns.
- Oversee the logistics and inventory of flight and ground test hardware, electronics, and their respective ground support equipment.
- Develop IMS inputs and define critical paths from various groups and subcontractors from mission initiation to launch to meet the programs major milestones.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Experience with payload and subsystem design, assembly, integration, and test of space launch and/or hypersonic vehicles.
- Adept problem solver and possess critical thinking skills
- Must be self-motivated and goal oriented
- Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills for use at all levels of the organization such as employees, management and internal / external sponsors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Must be a US citizen
- Must currently have and/or be capable of obtaining a security clearance
- Must have valid driver's license/vehicle insurance sufficient to access military facilities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline with minimum 10 years of experience in launch vehicle assembly, integration, and test or 7 years with a master’s or PhD.
WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Office environment
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
