This role is restricted to U.S. citizen only, with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.

General Job Summary:

Florida Turbine Technologies, Inc. is seeking an on-site Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) in Jupiter, FL. The AFSO will assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) with the management, administration, and coordination of industrial security programs and other security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Perform administrative security support functions in accordance with company policies and federal regulations for safeguarding National Security Information.
• Track and administer personnel security clearances in government systems and work with candidates to obtain and maintain security clearance records.
• Provide security briefings, debriefings, and security training for site personnel.
• Support foreign travel security program initiatives and government reporting activities.
• Investigate security incidents and violations, taking appropriate corrective actions and maintaining detailed records.
• Maintain access control system logs and ensure that physical security measures are followed.
• Support the development and implementation of the Insider Threat Program, including training, reporting, and incident response.
• Assist in security audits and preparation for inspections by government agencies and customers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ability to respond to alarms off-hours as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel may be required.
Experience and Skills:

• Strong knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule and other relevant security regulations.
• Familiarity with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and National Background Investigation Services (NBIS).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Self-driven and results oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

Education and Experience:

• US Citizen Only - active security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field/industry
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security role within the defense industry
• FSO Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of AFSO appointment

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Office and/or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment).
