The Deputy Program Manager role will support & assist the MACH TB Program Director in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams for the MACH TB 2.0 Program. The individual will have a critical role in supporting the execution and building of the Program. This role involves overseeing program operations, ensuring adherence to cost and schedules. The Deputy Program Manager will require collaboration with multiple subcontractors and stakeholders, as well as the ability to navigate complex program management challenges.
The Deputy Program Manager must have good understanding of the project management process, have strong communication skills and be able to motivate their team(s). The ideal candidate will be good with budget calculations and possess strong analytical skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities:
- Support & assist the Program Manager with the overall technical, cost, and schedule responsibility for program-related activities to include delivery of services and the design, development, fabrication, assembly, integration, demonstration, and test of Hypersonic Test Missions.
- Provide leadership and direction across the program to include multiple subcontractors.
- Define program tasking/milestones and monitor adherence to program budgets, plans, cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Lead by example and champion program management best practices
- Assist in setting program priorities, resolve conflicts and barriers, implement gates and major reviews with the customer.
- Support proposal activities in support of on-contract growth.
- Interface with stakeholders and government customers
- Develops and executes integrated plans and guides the development of team business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
- Ensures program planning and monitoring activities are in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Able to support the development & maintenance of an Integrated Master Schedule and Integrated Master Plan.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, partners, management and direct reports.
- Supports development and implementation of proposals, statements of work, strategic planning, campaign and business development strategies in pursuit of new business.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and low-to-mid-level team leadership.

The Deputy Program Manager shall be knowledgeable of overall organization, direction, and requirements of the contract efforts. Experience in interfacing directly with the designated government or commercial customer representatives and supervising various task order activities is preferred.
- BA/BS with 12 years of experience in Program Management.
- May require up to 25% travel to support technical meetings, design reviews, and launch events.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in Hypersonic flight systems, launch vehicles for suborbital and/or orbital trajectories
- Experience with MBSE
- Experience working with suppliers.
- Experience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best Practices.
- Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.
