The Electrical Technician will fabricate and install cables, harnesses, electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, and CCA's of various complexities using wire lists, wiring diagrams, drawings, and special instructions. May work with engineering, to diagnose and solve problems that occur during the manufacturing process.
Essential Job Functions :
- Fabricate cables and harnesses per wire lists, wiring diagrams, drawings and special instructions
- Install cables and harnesses in training devices per installation drawings and / or special instructions
- Wire electro-mechanical sub-assembles per wire lists, wiring diagrams, drawings, and special instructions
- Perform continuity tests on cables, harnesses and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies
- Evaluate and suggest changes or improvements to engineering drawings as required
- Work with shop management and other company personnel to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks
- Extensive soldering
- Work largely unsupervised in performance of daily tasks
