What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Planner position at Kratos Defense?
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY :
To effectively plan, monitor, and control inventory so that parts are available to meet customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Reviews planned and unplanned material requirements and loads requisitions as necessary.
- Assigns new stock numbers and maintains changes to the Item Master file.
- Processes receipts of incoming material and issues material to manufacturing operations.
- Processes discrepant receipt notifications and resolves issues.
- Controls customer and government furnished property and returns from customers.
- Issues, requisitions, and maintains MRO stock parts.
- Provides direction to hourly personnel in regard to inventory processes.
Other Job Functions
New part set-up in system, and processes inventory control transactions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY :
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
