What are the responsibilities and job description for the Package Assembler 1 position at Kratos Defense?
Performs assembly of the company's products into complete packages, accessories, manuals, operating instructions and data sheets. May perform other packaging tasks including : placing labels on packages, operating small production equipment, putting manuals into binders, counting and sorting various items, and forming or breaking down boxes for final product. When applicable, maintains related records to comply with government standards and manuals. This position also assistants with the painting of the parts for the company and its units.
The Skilled Trades function is responsible for technical activities that support the manufacturing of goods. Those working in this function acquired their skills through technical schools or specialized training. The General attribute is typically reserved for roles that either : (1) are fully described by their function description; or (2) span multiple disciplines, products, or areas of expertise. The Painter focus specializes in preparing surfaces and applying paint, enamel, varnishes and other finishes using brushes, rollers and sprayers. Mixes and matches pigment, oil, base and thinner in the right proportion to attain the desired outcome. Typically works on the most complex aspects of projects. This job family is in the support level category and the focus is on completing tasks or activities supporting implementation of procedures. Incumbents in this job level category typically require general education, vocational, and / or on-the-job training, and may provide direction to other employees with similar duties.
