Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team of deployment engineers, provide professional development
- Develop and maintain a software Dev/Test environment for pre-release testing, this includes collecting requirements, design, material procurement and build-out within an Agile CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Deployment) software environment.
- Lead SAFe Program Increment planning in support of business goals, define and schedule team tasks, make resource estimates, track and report progress and issues to senior management
- Lead interactions with software development and operations team to ensure software designs leverage common architectures and are testable, supportable, recoverable and scalable and satisfy customer service level agreements.
- Oversee team that will test, validate, deploy and maintain software services and tools in a production environment.
- Generate and manage document artifacts from test and deployment activities, analyze and communicate results, track issues to closure.
- Coordinate and schedule change windows, and support the resulting upgrades, fixes, and software deployment activities. Minimize impact to production environment.
- Oversee team that responds to unplanned service outages. Provide SME guidance. Minimize impact to production environment.
- Lead root cause analysis and fixes/work arounds to systemic problems that impact production operations, document and communicate findings.
Develop and maintain procedures and training that enable the team to operate more efficiently and minimize impact to customer services.
Experience and Skills:
Specify any minimum required skill sets for this position:
- 2 years experience working with DevOps, and Agile CI/CD methodologies
- 2 year experience troubleshooting complex distributed environments and taking corrective actions to ensure availability
- 2 years experience developing and/or deploying software, microservices, APIs, RESTful web services in a Docker environment.
- 2 years experience with Cloud Technologies, such as: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong management skills, demonstrating the ability to plan and schedule work and communicate progress and status to stakeholders.
US Citizenship required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Domain experience with satellite communications technologies in an operational environment
- Certification in DevOps, Agile CI/CD methodologies, SAFe, ITIL
- Experience and/or certification in CyberSecurity disciplines
- Experience scripting, using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python or equivalent
- Experience with languages, such as: SQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#
- Experience with database organization and administration.
- Experience in the development and management of Service oriented solutions
- Experience using Atlassian DevOps tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc)

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Salary Range: $118,000 - $145,000 DOE
