ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Foreman at Kratos oversees / supervises all Production activities through the manufacturing process to maintain design integrity by upholding quality / industry standards for the power and controls product lines. Ensures that all technicians are performing required tasks safely / following all procedures to assemble and test products while maintaining efficiency to meet the delivery schedule defined by management. These product lines appeal to a broad range of industries spanning electrical, mechanical, and renewable energy systems. The Foreman’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, maintaining multiple product lines, having multiple line leads directly reporting, and provide support to the technicians in assembling controls, switchboards, panels, and future product lines, performing various tests on products, coaching employees, training, writing up reports, QA / QC inspections, using various equipment, and act as the Subject Matter Specialist to the engineering, quality, and supply chain team. Our Production Foreman work for the Production Manger to bring these designs to life on the shop floor using state-of-the-art technologies.
- Uphold a Safety-First team environment with all production associates, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment : safety shoes, safety glasses, protective gloves, and hearing protection as required.?
- Maintain lean manufacturing concepts, single piece workflow, and production principles to improve efficiency, through the production process while maintaining quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
- Model an ethos of 5S knowledge to improve organization, cleanliness, reduce waste and optimize output.
- Maintain standard skills training for the team to enhance their workmanship on industry best practices. ?
- Educate and train employees to interpret and translate schematics / models into functioning products.
- Participate in reporting Key Performance Indicators for production to improve workflow efficiencies; anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise production achievement and targets.
- Communicate with project management and management with problems / issues impacting production.
- Nurture a culture based on Kratos Code Orange Values; establish an environment of trust and respect.
- Collaborate with engineering to improve the lean manufacturability of products through lessons learned.
- Enforce stringent quality standards set by Kratos, the Customer and UL Certification Requirements.
- Ensure that parts / materials are available for production; document and notify Managers of discrepancies.
- Conduct strict inspection and testing procedures during final product disposition and finishing process.
- Field problems during production of manufactured goods, resolve issues and / or notify management team.
- Conduct daily team huddles with Leads / Technicians to review the previous days goals, outline the days production expectations, safety concerns, and quality focus.
- Provided administrative support to management to ensure smooth operations across the production floor.
- Actively participate in hiring decisions, as well as disciplinary discussions, and terminations of team members.
- Distribute work and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

- Manage team schedules, including shift and time off.
- ensure the team has the necessary resources, tools, and equipment to complete their work.
- Maintain records of employee performance, attendance, and other administrative tasks.
