Job Description

Description : ROLE :

The warehouse associate is responsible for the movement of material through the facility, from receipt of raw goods through the finished product.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Receiving of Raw materials from vendors / delivery technicians
Receipt of goods / Material transactions
Move material, equipment, or supplies from docks and storage areas to production areas for processing.
Clearly identify material, attach identifying tags to materials or containers.
Read work orders or receive oral instructions for work assignments.
Record number of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
Stage material in correct areas for processing orders.
Controlling machines, using control mechanisms, or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes. Record operation or production data
Operation of vehicles, mechanized devices or equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, passenger vehicles, cranes, hoists.
Maintain a clean safe workspace, make sure material is appropriately stored, staged, or labeled.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Physically able to operate different machinery / equipment.

Prolonged periods of standing walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, stooping, and carrying materials.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Noise levels can be loud and disruptive at times.

Warehouse environment, indoor but not climate controlled.

Use of proper PPE, Safety Shoes, Safety glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection,

PREFERRED SKILLS :

Verbal and written communication skills / Interpersonal relationships

Willingness to collaborate with team members, listen and discuss methods and principles with peers.

Attention to detail.

Accurate pulling skills.

EXPERIENCE

Office Suite, Facilities management software. Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Excel (Preferred)

Manufacturing 2 year (Preferred)

Warehouse environment

ERP system experience

Forklift required – sit-down and reach trucks
