Kratos is seeking a System Test Engineer to join an exciting team of test engineers that will be shaping the future of a growing spacecraft ground system solution. The successful candidate will support the testing of both new and existing applications for the Command and Control Systems - Consolidated (CCS-C) ground system as part of the CSAR program. The candidate will play a critical role in a fast paced, agile, software development environment and will provide quality solutions in support of the warfighter.
The qualified candidate will be part of a team responsible for testing COTS applications, custom software, and satellite specific data products in an integrated environment for the latest evolution in satellite ground systems. Applications are hosted on Oracle Linux platforms which serve as virtual machines. Primary responsibilities include preparing and executing formal acceptance tests as well as evaluating software maintenance changes. Collaboration with developers and integrators is integral in determining appropriate validation and regression tests for execution. Effective communication of test status is required during test periods. Application of software CM practices is crucial in this position. Supporting the on-site technical advisory team with user acceptance testing and problem diagnosis is a secondary responsibility.
- Candidate must show ability to effectively communicate with various team members, customers, as well as communicate with vendor support
- Develops and improves operation procedures, scripts, for system testing
- Define and propose SATCOM operational and operator requirements and design approaches to satisfy them
- Interface with the customer and operational users to define operational requirements
- Effectively work with a cross functional engineering team

Required Experience:
- Current Security Certification or required within 6 months of hire.
- Software testing background
- Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Candidate must be self-motivated and capable of working independently and with others.
- Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written form.
- Current Secret level clearance required
- Required to either be able to obtain a TS/SCI, or currently have a TS/SCI
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 5 to 7 years experience in
- Telemetry and Commanding of spacecrafts
- EPOCH Product Suite
- Knowledge of Command and Control Consolidated (CCS-C) system.
- Knowledge of Air Force Test Regulations and experience in Air Force formal testing is a plus
- Current Top Secret level clearance, with SCI eligibility

Salary Range: $80,000-$107,000
