About You:
Looking to join a dynamic IT department? You are a hands-on and proactive IT Manager of Systems and Security to drive innovation, ensure the performance, reliability, and security of critical systems, and maintain compliance with evolving security standards across current entities and acquisitions. This role blends strategic oversight with technical expertise, managing internal staff and vendor resources (including MSPs and MSSPs) while actively contributing to system design, implementation, and security. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates exceptional problem-solving skills, and has deep experience with Azure, Office 365, and IT operations. You will collaborate closely with IT leadership and managers across service, data, and applications to execute key initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Manage IT professionals, including an Infrastructure Engineer and Cybersecurity Analyst, ensuring their alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee vendor resources (MSP/MSSP) to meet SLAs, maintain performance, and execute projects effectively.
Systems and Security Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, including Azure IaaS/PaaS virtual machines & services, networking, and Office 365 services (Email, Teams, SharePoint).
- Manage uptime monitoring, preventive maintenance, and patching for servers and network equipment.
- Administer domain services, including DNS configurations, SSL renewals, and domain transfers.
Project Management:
- Lead infrastructure projects, including Office 365 and Azure tenant migrations, network upgrades, and new technology rollouts.
- Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies and processes to improve system efficiency and resilience.
Cybersecurity Leadership:
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to enhance the organization's security posture, ensuring compliance with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and related standards.
- Implement and manage Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, and threat management solutions to safeguard data.
- Supervise security frameworks, policies, and tools.
Qualifications
Required:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
- 10 years in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong expertise in Azure Infrastructure (Server IaaS/PaaS, networking, monitoring, identity, SSO, MFA).
- Office 365 administration (Email, Teams VoIP, SharePoint) with required experience in tenant-to-tenant migrations.
- Track record of successfully planning, executing, and reporting on IT projects.
- Background in private equity or other high-accountability, fast-paced environments.
Preferred:
- Security & Compliance: Familiarity with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and CIS CSAT frameworks.
- Network & Infrastructure:Experience with Fortinet firewalls and Azure networking backhaul.
- Familiarity with Cisco Meraki switches and wireless access points
- Certifications: Azure Administrator, Azure Architect, ITIL, CISM, or PMP.
- Data & Automation: Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps) and Azure data services.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
