About The Role
Our Duluth Team is currently looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager that will develop a diverse portfolio of electrical engineering projects with a focus on the design, construction, and maintenance of complex electrical systems. The successful candidate will utilize their experience and expertise in the field of electrical engineering to provide solutions to a diverse clientele that includes multinational industry leaders. Your day to day will include:
- Performing calculations related to the sizing and installation of electrical equipment including: MCC’s, lighting, circuit breakers, motors, transformers, wiring systems, switchgear, and grounding systems
- Utilizing the National Electrical Code, IEEE standards, and requirements of insurers in the development of electrical designs at industrial and commercial facilities
- Developing detailed equipment specifications for electrical distribution equipment, MCC’s, Drives, low voltage field devices, instrumentation, lighting, circuit protection, and power monitoring equipment
- Designing power distribution and grounding systems up to 15kV
- Developing motor and process control documents including loop and motor elementary drawings
- Preparing proposals, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for engineering projects
- Analyzing data, preparing reports, and delivering presentations on proposed and ongoing projects to internal staff and clients
- Mentoring and overseeing junior engineers and technicians
- Taking an active leadership role with design development and delivery of final documents for electrical projects
- Providing oversight, sign, and seal design documents and reports developed by electrical staff members
- Performing QA/QC reviews throughout the design development process
- Working directly with clients to develop project options and alternatives, provide engineering guidance for project planning and development, field investigations, and critical issues
- Collaborating with multi discipline groups within KOA to develop and deliver integrated projects
- BS in Electrical Engineering with a Professional Engineering License (PE)
- 10 years of experience in electrical engineering and design
- Knowledge and application of the principles and practices of CAD development and creation of drawing packages at various stages of design development
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with Krech Ojard staff, individuals from other organizations, and client representatives.
- Experience supervising or providing direct oversight to engineers and design professionals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project lifecycle and ability to manage complex engineering and multidiscipline projects.
- Experience performing power coordination and arc flash studies and develop single line drawings using SKM.
- Experience with power distribution design up to 230kV
- Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC and HMI programming
- Experience developing design packages, P&IDs, and alternatives from concept to issued for construction using AutoCAD Electrical or Revit software packages
- Annual base salary in the range of $100,000 – $140,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications
