Job Summary
The Kreher Farm Fresh Eggs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Crop Shop, you will be responsible for the oversight, direction, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and high-quality repairs of trucks and heavy equipment in a field/shop environment.
This position covers all rolling equipment utilized by the Kreher Family Farms crops, eggs, and compost/fertilizer divisions. You will work closely with our crop leadership to manage routine maintenance schedules and communicate any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic and advanced mechanical duties, including trouble shooting, diagnostics, and repair of equipment in the field
- Travel to remote locations if necessary
- Partner with 3rd party suppliers to monitor repairs and ensure timely turnaround
- Work mandatory overtime on a weekly basis during primary crop seasons
- Manage routine maintenance schedules and communicate to crop leadership
- Develop internal processes in line with industry standard service and maintenance guidelines
Requirements:
- Associate degree in diesel technology or a related field is preferred
- ASE Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician Certification is preferred
- Minimum of seven years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, or associate's degree in diesel technology and three years of experience
- Class A Commercial Driver's License is required
