GENERAL JOB DUTIES
1. Recruit, hire, train and retain employees.
2. Assist in the development of compensation and benefit packages.
3. Organize and approve leave requests.
4. Serve as point of contact of worker’s compensation, health and life insurance.
5. Suggest policies to recruit and retain the best employees.
6. Work with company management to implement and revise policies.
7. Work with the V.P. of Clinical Services and Programs to resolve employee dispute, harassment or legal issues.
8. Assist in compliance with all legal and regulatory compliance.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
1. Participate in developing HR’s goals, objectives, and philosophy.
2. Suggest policies and practices to recruit and retain the best employees and help find ways for current employees to succeed at the company.
3. Serve as a representative for benefits offered by Kreider and timely assist eligible employees in making elections.
a. Maintain the day-to-day benefit responsibilities; orient new employees and newly eligible employees, answer questions and refer appropriate questions to vendors, and maintain compliance to the administrative document.
b. Terminate benefits for those who no longer qualify and notify necessary personnel internally.
c. Conduct audits of hours tracking for sub and part time employees.
4. Supervise and participate in the employment process:
5. Participate in OJTs with management and professional staff.
6. Complete background checks on clients as required.
7. Coordinates all payroll and job status changes and communicates changes to appropriate personnel.
a. Input all employee and wage information into the agency’s computer program and monitor inputted data for accuracy.
b. Provide to the finance department documentation on changes made to all employee and wage information via staff master.
8. Oversee annual Performance Appraisal process.
a. Ensures annual Performance Appraisal process is conducted in a timely manner. Communicates to managers regarding their responsibilities and deadlines for the PA process.
b. Maintains PA log to ensure that appraisals are received from managers and evaluation results are tracked.
c. Revises process as needed.
9. Compile and maintain information on employee eligibility for attendance and service awards.
a. Coordinate service award ceremony and gifts.
b. Provide information to Payroll on applicable bonuses.
10. Consistently deliver programs and training to increase retention.
11. Provide information to appropriate agency personnel as requested, insuring compliance with HIPAA.
12. Coordinate the random drug screenings with designated health provider and serve as the back-up for CDL drug and alcohol random testing facilitator.
13. Terminate employees whose employment paperwork is falsified or not received in the time allotted.
14. Prepare and submit annual EEO-1 report.
15. Maintain I9s.
16. Serve as the Human Resources representative in regulatory surveys.
17. Provide reference check material in accordance with agency policy.
18. Obtain and maintain contracts, licenses, etc. for all contractual workers.
19. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
1. Maintain personnel files for all current and past employees.
2. Participate in and serve as official secretary for the Accident Review Board.
3. Order flowers and/or send cards to agency employees/board members.
4. Performs general administrative duties such as copying, faxing, and work processing as needed.
5. Assumes responsibility for personal work areas, maintaining them in a presentable manner.
6. Assists director with special projects and other duties as assigned.
7. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
8. Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary Work involves sitting most of the time. Must be able to finger, grasp, talk and hear. Visual requirements include preparing and analyzing data and figures, computer terminal, extensive reading, or visual inspection. The worker is subject to inside environment conditions.
