About The Function:
We have been retained by our Montgomery County Construction client to find their first Business Development Executive due to growth. THis is an exciting time for the industry and this company.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the construction industry. This role involves regional trade shows and cultivating relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive revenue growth and expand the company's market presence. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the construction sector, strong sales acumen, and the ability to develop and maintain partnerships that align with the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Analysis: Identify and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to develop strategic business plans.
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers such as developers, architects, engineers, etc.
- Proposal Development & Negotiation: In conjunction with the exectuive team, prepare and present compelling proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals that align with company objectives, including profitability.
- Networking & Brand Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with estimating, project management, and marketing to ensure seamless business development efforts.
- Revenue & Growth Targets: Achieve and exceed sales targets by developing a robust pipeline of projects and fostering long-term client partnerships.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and establish partnerships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals to enhance project capabilities and success.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of business development, sales, or related experience in the construction industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of construction processes, contracts, and procurement methods.
- Sales & Negotiation Skills
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Networking & Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain strong industry connections.
- Project & Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software, MS Office Suite, and construction industry tools.
