About The Function
Kreischer Miller continues to prosper and grow! With approximately 250 team members located in Horsham, PA, we are currently seeking to add an Intern/Co-Op to our Outsourced Accounting Services team.
The focus of this internship is on producing high quality detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. The job environment is stable, with a growing client base, relationships with team members and a well-defined process. Job knowledge and competency is built through structured step-by-step training and positive, collaboration amongst team members. Communication with others is based on knowledge of repetitive job routines and procedures gained from sufficient on the job experience. Consistent, error free work based on defined standards are key measures of job performance success. The job environment promotes steady, methodical work output so that job routines can be completed on time and error-free. This position is designed to support our clients in effectively recording transactions and producing financial reports that are used by our client’s management teams and business owners.
Responsibilities:
- Code cash disbursements and receipts into QuickBooks system from client documents
- Enter submitted invoices into bill pay management system
- Enter submitted receipts into expense management system
- Maintain chart of accounts
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Record payroll journal entry from payroll reports
- Scanning of pertinent client documents into the Engagement binder
- Prepare journal entries and record them into the QuickBooks system
- Assist client in maintaining W-9s for subcontractors and service providers
Education & Skill Requirements:
- Working towards a BS or MS in Accounting, or related field. Resumes without GPA will not be considered.

- Strong commitment to excellence, client service and professional growth
- The ability to work independently and proactively, identifying issues as well as potential solutions
- Possess a positive attitude, good communication skills and willingness to learn
- Be a team player and motivated to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in the use of computers and software programs
- A strong ability to understand the "big picture" quickly, identify key issues, and prioritize analysis/output among many competing tasks

Working Conditions:
Work location will vary depending on team needs and assignments. The intern may be required to work both remotely and from our office location in Horsham, PA. The ideal candidate will have the capability to work part-time during the traditional school semesters, as well as during school breaks.
